Tülay German a François Rabbath is a collaboration and a take on etno-folkloric themes of Turkish culture including poetry from the likes of Pir Sultan Abdal, Nazım Hikmet and Karacaoğlan, François Rabath plays subtle elements of world music in a percussive tradition using not only the bass, darbuka, along with playing saz and ud in traditional modern jazz sensibility along with meanwhile Tülay German’s soulful raspy vocal this album becomes a prog voyage for wounds that haven’t healed and laments the hopes and promises that haven’t yet been fulfilled in the course of history.
